Social – where the real competition is (and getting the serve in is harder than you think)
In the first game of the evening Crumbed Snags proved once again why they are the top dog in the competition so far, taking out Sand Vipers in straight sets, Michell and Tracy were the standouts for that game. On Court 2 Ace Inhibitors showed some amazing sportsmanship to let Fil-Aus Hitters play for a third set despite being late. Fil Aus Hitters proved too strong though narrowly taking the first 2 sets and running away with the last set. William Martin and (a name we are hearing a lot about for all the right reasons), Hershey were standouts in that one. Could she be the best female player this year? She is definitely on track for that.
The second games of the evening saw Power Rangers and Cobras going back and forth, Cobras managed to take all 3 sets but tie breaks in the first 2 games and narrowly winning the last showed that this was a lot closer and hard fought. Will and Celia stood out in that game. On the other court Ovareachers took on Gold Diggers. Ovareachers ran away with the first set, but ran out of steam and narrowly lost the next two sets to the certified youngsters Finn, Tilda and Amira stood out in that game
The last game of the evening saw I’d Hit that take on Blocks Boiz. Blocks Boiz narrowly took the first game, but lost their composure and let I’d Hit that run away with the second game, the team may of been celebrating Birthday boy Jesse’s birthday early. They managed to regain their composure in the last set to hold on and take that one 2-1. Caitlin and Dom were the standouts in that game.
